WHAT IS KARBONITE?
An environmentally friendly cementitious process that is 52% more energy efficient than current industry standards.
Karbonite is a revolutionary new process, which utilises new mineral feed-stocks and a biomass waste stream, with additional Geo Polymers to create a cleaner, greener production process for the manufacture of cement.
Our innovative and patented technology only requires 0.05%-25% of cement activation in production, therefore saving 75%-95.5% of Portland cement used per ton. The process involves CO2 sequestration, along with the use of liquid infused CO2 absorption within the molecular structures.
The binder used is composed of a natural mineral feed-stock, activated at lower temperatures of 750°C- 850°C, rather than 1400°C used in traditional burning of limestone for cement furnaces. In the activation process, Karbonite releases water, not environmentally damaging toxicants.
The binding and physical strength of this material is modulated by the addition of proprietary biological additives, which are waste residues streams (Lignin, solid biogas residue) of operating bio-refineries.

Our environmentally friendly process is 52% more energy-efficient and costs 21% less than the current production of Portland cement.
In addition to the significant reduction in thermal energy required to create it, there is also 65% less CO2 emitted in the process. In fact, approximately125kg of CO2 is removed from the atmosphere per tonne produced.
Karbonite also utilises a biomass waste stream in production as a binder and water is a by-product, making it a truly green solution that has the potential to revolutionise the industry.
